Amy McGrath: I am a 2 time IM Champion

I didn't have a chance to tell you how the race went. First of all, I am so grateful to have you for a coach. I am amazed by how you always put together the perfect plan for a great race. I see all these people with coaches that show up to the race completely fried.

As soon as I got on the bike my seat post slipped and my saddle was way too low. I stopped on Palani next to Patrick. He wasn't able to touch my bike, but he was at least able to talk me through it and tell me where to put the saddle. Amazingly, it stayed in place the rest of the ride.

I felt pretty uncomfortable almost right away on the bike because of the heat and headwind sections, but I never felt like I wanted to quit or ran out of energy. My stomach felt great all day.

My plan was to run very easy through town and not try to catch anyone. I think anyone that tried to make up time on the first ten miles really paid for it the second half. I felt hot, but never felt like I needed to stop and I caught a lot of people the last several miles.

Thanks again for a great race. I have more than reached all my goals in triathlon.
